Caipirinha by TJP

Caipirinha by TJP – The Classic with Character

The Caipirinha is considered a national symbol of Brazil and has long since become one of the world’s most popular summer drinks. Originally prepared with cachaça, an exciting variety of variations has emerged over the years – including modern versions with rum. The “Caipirinha by TJP” is just such a variation: powerful, sweet and tangy, and with a touch of Caribbean soul. It retains the refreshing basic principle of the classic Caipirinha, but interprets it in its own sophisticated way.

The focus here is a high-quality rum, which is used instead of the usual cachaça. This brings a softer, rounder note to the glass – and opens the door to new flavor nuances. The fresh lime juice provides the typical, invigorating acidity, while simple syrup and brown sugar combine to add a deeper sweetness while emphasizing the aroma of subtle roasted flavors. Roughly tapping the limes releases the essential oils in the peel, adding additional complexity to the drink.

It’s prepared directly in a tumbler or old-fashioned glass:
First, lightly press an eighth of fresh lime with two bar spoons of brown sugar in the glass—do not crush it! Remove the lime strand.

Fill everything with crushed ice.

Then add 4 cl of simple syrup and 6 cl of rum and stir briefly to perfectly blend the flavors and temperature. If you like, you can serve the drink with a thick straw and garnish it with a lime wedge.

The Caipirinha by TJP is the ideal drink for those who love the classic feel but prefer a slightly rounder, rum-heavy twist. It’s invigorating, honest, not too sweet—and with every sip, brings the vibe of a balmy evening somewhere between Copacabana and the Caribbean into the glass.
